Comedy about a group of friends participating in a proposal video at a bar in modern-day Los Angeles.
Los Angeles, CA – The second full-length play from Jake Minton (‘Here’s the Thing,’ 2012 Hollywood Fringe Fest nomination for Best Comedy) features a dysfunctional group of characters who are asked to participate in a cheesy proposal video for their friend. Directed by Rob Atchinson, who most recently directed ‘Tigers Be Still’ at The Other Space Theater, the play touches on everything from modern-day romance to drug addiction and the ennui of life in 21st century Los Angeles. A true ensemble piece, the cast of young, up-and-coming stars brilliantly portrays hyper-realistic, yet oftentimes hilarious, people just trying to make sense of their brand-new adult lives. Produced in the intimate Lyric-Hyperion Theater and Café in the heart of Silver Lake, this production feel site-specific, adding to its real-life parallels.
