The LemonHeadMeter is similar to the LemonMeter but solicits its reviews directly from the community rather than from the professional critic, forming an audience generated critical consensus, allowing for yet another layer of opinion that the theater-goer can use to make an even more informed decision on their entertainment needs.

Yeah, I know. It sounds very Yelp-like. And it is. But it isn’t. Because it’s different. Because we’re different. If you’re at all familiar with Bitter Lemons you know what I’m talking about.

That’s why I’m expecting the voice of the audience to take on a life of its own through the LemonHeadMeter. Especially once we get our smartphone app up and running and it REALLY becomes convenient just to click a couple buttons after a show and instantly be in the mix.

So please take a few minutes to get yourselves in the mix.

All you have to do is register an account here, if you haven’t already. And then when you’re all approved and shit just go to the show page of a production you’ve seen and review it. Our top secret LemonHeadMeter algorithm will do the rest.

We will be overseeing how this process works and we are well aware that there are opportunities to “work the system” but for now, we are going to trust the Los Angeles Theater Community to say what they want to say and see what happens. You can offer your name and write a few words, or you can just stay anonymous and click Sweet, Bitter or Bittersweet. It all counts.

Let’s get this party started!
